Judge Terry L. Chandler
 

Governor Janet Napolitano appointed Judge Chandler to Division 1 of the Pima County Superior Court on May 14, 2004. Judge Chandler previously served for over four years as a commissioner at Juvenile Court. Before taking the bench, Judge Chandler was the Chief Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Arizona and she ran the Tucson office of the United States Attorney's Office.

Other Experiences as a lawyer included private practice, the Pima County Attorney's Office where she headed the Juvenile Division, and the Gila County Attorney's Office where she was the Chief Criminal Deputy. She is active in the community where she has served on the boards of directors of several non-profit organizations. She has served on both the Pima County Commission of Trial Court Appointments and the Appellate Nominating Commission, She has chaired the Professionalism Committee for the Pima County Bar Association. She was the founding chair of the Juvenile Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona. She serves on the Board of Visitors for the James E. Rogers College of Law.

In 1997 she received the Y.W.C.A Women On The Move award. In 1998 the Juvenile Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona established an annual award in her name for excellence in the practice of juvenile law. In 1999 the Southern Arizona Chapter of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers' Association named her the Federal Prosecutor of the Year.
