2009 Executive Committee

This collaborative will enhance the use and coordination of resources and public safety, and it will facilitate the development of policies and practices based on evidence based, best practices in the Pima County Juvenile Justice System.

This collaborative and ‘best practices’ approach has been previously utilized by the Pima County Juvenile Court.  In 1997, the Court became one of seven original “Model Courts” as selected by the National Council of Juvenile & Family Court Judges (NCJ&FCJ).  The Model Court initiative of 1997 generated the legislative reforms for child welfare cases that are now required in Arizona.  The Court maintains its ties to both the NCJ&FCJ and the Model Court process.  Judge Rubin serves as the Court’s Lead Model Court Judge and is the President-Elect of the NCJ&FCJ.

The DMC/JDAI Executive Committee is committed to providing critical analysis and evaluation at every juncture in the justice continuum, consistent with best practices.
